Registration is OPEN

You've all had a few weeks to think about it and now the Registration for the 1st Annual Ka'iwi Channel Swim is open.
We're excited, and from the emails we've been getting, we know a lot of you are, too.
We also know some of you still have some questions.
I will continue to address all questions by email or in posts on this blog. Keep them coming.
The basics have been outlined in both the posts and the info pages on the right. Conditions on race day may require that we make modifications.
Here are responses to the three most frequently asked questions so far.

1) Swim start and finish time?
The race will start in front of the Kaluakoi Resort on Molokai on August 24, 2013 at 5:45am. The race is over at 8pm. If you are not at Sandy Beach by that time - get back in the boat. Conditions on race day could possibly require a change to that 8pm finish but you need to plan on 14 hours and 15 minutes to finish this swim.

2) Are there any requirements for the length of time each swimmer must spend in the water?
No requirements for how often and no requirements for the order. Just one requirement. Everyone swims.

3) Those crazy waves on the video on Facebook, how often is it like that?
In August its not likely - but still  remotely possible. Please remember your race directors have no control over such things.

Keep sending/asking questions because there are probably others who are, or will be, wondering the same thing.

The registration process starts with you filling out the basic info on the REGISTRATION link to the right.
Within a week you will receive further info in an email and a link to pay. Payment can be made by credit card  from anywhere in the world. After you register, we will also be sending you options for places to stay on Oahu and Molokai.
Just ask if you have questions.
